We love trains at our house so we had to take a trip on the train when it was opened on labor day. We all loved it and had a picnic. It was a last minute decision and i quickly grabbed a loaf of bread, pb, honey, tortillas, string cheese, and left over chicken. We all ate well. Kids liked getting their ticket punched 50 times.

My goal is to get caught up on blogging. Mainly the whole summer! 4th of July week, we spent in Aptos. We had amazing pies and lots of playing on the beach. M may not like swimming but he LOVES the ocean.

U2 concert

We love going to concerts. Da used to go all the time in HS and we go as much as possible. This was the first concert u wore ear plugs. I just didn't feel like having the white noise ear ring afterwards. You know what I mean if you have been to a loud concert before. Lenny Kravitz opened and he sounds like he hasn't changed in 15 years. It was great. I am actually surprised i'm not that tired for going to bed at 2 am. M joined us in bed sometime in the middle of the night and I didn't know it until the morning. Lucky him - he had a gream about monsters. Thanks to my parents for babysitting so late right before their 43rd anniversary today! Yeah!!! We made my grandmas potatoe carmel cake recpie with white mountain frosting.

M finished preschool for the year. We had a little graduation with a dvd slideshow of the year. I'm not going to do it next year with a new baby but I can see doing it when E gets that age. I enjoyed getting to know the kids and the moms better.

Oh here is another picture of #3. I had to go back in last week because they couldn't get a pic of the spine. They did and everything looks good.

Here is baby BOY due oct 13. M (#1) was really mad when we told him he was going to have a baby brother. He really wanted another sister. We told him he can help name him because we have no clue. He didn't like that idea either. Oh well. For now we call him shark fighter after a recent aquabats song. Im sure we will eventually come up with a better name.

Christmas Break

Our Christmas break was awesome! Wednesday started with my alumni basketball at my high school. My team kicked butt!! I got my first black eye and was proud of it!

Day 2 We headed off to the zoo and ended the trip with a train ride which is a MUST. That night had a fun family Christmas party.

Christmas Eve we went to Kirkwood and M got to come with us. He loved skiing and was a champ!

His favorite part was riding the chair lift. He keep saying "hi people down there" and "lets do that again" I think we rode it 6 times and the magic carpet 3 times.

One the of things I love about Christmas are these Candy Cane Joe-Joe's. Oreo-like in concept, the Candy Cane adds peppermint bits to the generous frosting center.
They're only here for a short time, so please savor them accordingly.

We have decided to drop his nap and put him to bed earlier. This way both kids are in bed by 7-7:30. The first week as been a challenge to keep him awake. We snapped some photos of the crazy places he fell asleep. We found it to be pretty funny and entertaining. He now naps every other day or so.

That concludes our amazing vacation/business trip to Paris!!!! No, we did not hear about any terrorists threat until when we called home. The kids had a blast at Papa's and Nana's house, but were glad to see us again. We were non-stop and saw some incredible things.

Here are some pic from the race. It was quite eventful with many military style obstacles like crawling in the sand, jumping over waist high barriers, jumping over tires, swimming out in the ocean which was supposed to be waist high but since the tide was in we battled 2 or 3 waves and body surfed some in. The hardest was running half of the race in dry sand. We all had a great time!!

Look who turned 1!!!!!!!!!

What a wonderful year. We were in San Diego for my niece Naomi's baptism. We had a great busy and fun trip. We went to the outlets, I did a 5k sand pit race military style while sick and with a broken finger (pictures to come later), business meeting, hung with the Bradleys (always good times), made cake pops, My sis Jana's 12th anniversary, baby sat so mom and sis and 2 kids could go to the Padres game.

We all go on family bike rides. The kids love it and i love working out together. DA gets to pull the kids behind his bike. I don't mind because then we ride at the same level. DA rides his bike to work 4 days a week and then goes on rides at lunch with co-workers. If i get a sitter then i join him for a lunch ride.

We took the kids bowling on a free "let make a record of how many games bowled in one day" We thought we could get two games bowled, but time only allowed us one fabulous game. After each time M bowled he went to the edge and laid on his tummy and waited the 20 seconds until his ball tapped the pins and jumped up with delight. I think he got 76 and only actually used the bumpers half the time.

One Saturday DA and i set out for a project. Our garage has been taken over by boards. So DA created and built a storage rack to take care of our problem. The rack is missing our 3 skim boards. We love our sports. I like doing projects like this together.

On the same day DA threw together this table garden. I have planted oregano, basil, cilantro, green beans, soy beans, cucumber. Yes, i over planted but so far we are enjoying the fresh herbs and green beans. That is our barred rock chicken that made the picture.

Utah Trip

While in Utah last month the Auble grandkids got their their photos taken. It was a long ordeal but i am very happy with all the pictures and glad we did it. We were in Utah for a family reunion on DA side. We had it at This is the Place Monument. I apparently have an ancestor whose name is on the list, but because of the 60mph winds we didn't see it. We have trained Max to yell "BYU go Blue" every time he sees anything Yish.

Quick project

Martha Stewart gave me this idea. I had an extra half of a hand towel left over from some towel hoodies and made a little bag out of it. These bags are Martha, but mine looks just like it, but a medium blue towel and a bright orange ribbon. This was a quick and easy project.

Toy Car Acivity Mat

i made this cute mat for max to play with and carry it with us on the go. It has a garage for his cars and then it rolls up and he can take it with us. I used left over flannel single layer receiving blankets from Max and felt i had laying around.

Max takes the cars down the snowy mountains and then swimming in the lake. The bird are there to take up space.

When they need gas he plugs the shoe lace in the back the cars

this is the car wash. Max usually takes one piece and wipes the cars with it.

I cut out the stop sign by using one of Max's square blocks and tuning it a quarter to make an octagon.

The construction site. A big dirt whole the cars play in. The cones are only sewn on the bottom so they pop up.

I don't know if he has more fun playing or i had making it.

I had to post something a little more happy than my last post. I am very sad about my chickens. well, it might be the way they died or not having 6 eggs a day. i don't know. We will hopefully find some more soon. Lucky, the only chicken, is very lonely. Yes we named her Lucky.

We got to spend a weekend with my bro and his family in Tahoe. His boys are full of energy and Max had a great time. They are such cute boys. The older one (4 3/4) loved E. He always wanted to hug and hold her. So cute! we had a great time catching up. i like how they all have the same haircut.

What a sad morning to find 5 chicken dead all around our yard. It happened this morning around 7am. One survived. After Danny cleaned up the mess we saw this fox ( i think its a fox) come back. I yelled "Quick get the gun" So he grab the paint ball gun and came and shot the thing. the fox ran away. The crazy thing is we don't live in the country too much, there are houses all around us. It's sad, but i guess we just get more and try to protect them better. There are worse things that can happen. (i didn't take this picture i got it from online)

My siblings came into town one weekend. We got to go out to Umigo race track (indoor cart racing) We had a blast we also stayed up until 1am playing games and talking. It was worth the couple day of sleep deprivation to be with my sisters and brother.

We got to enjoy an actual vacation at Northstar. We stayed for 5 days, which is long for us. DA got to snowboard 3 days, I got to swim laps in a heated pool with snow all around, very fun. The kids got to hunt for eggs in snow and play.

This Potty Scotty is my new best friend. Max is potty trained and those who have boys knows it always a mess. Since he can't reach the toilet, so he would stand on our feet and things then get messy. This little device works well for us. He can now go by himself and keep his business in one spot. Love it!! We ended up buying one for the upstairs and down stairs. A well spent $20

Not a fun week

Max is starting asthma treatment. I have been in denial that he does have a slight problem. I always called it sports induce asthma. We have a check up in 2 weeks to see how it is doing. He thinks it's fun to puff the inhaler 2x a day.

Elise has RSV (Google it if you don't know). Our poor daughter has had a rough week. she is now finally starting to do better and sleeping better. I am wiped out.

So the vikings are not in the super bowl :( My hubby is a vikings fan and so is our family. M will wear his jersey all the time. Even at night he will wear it over his PJs to bed. Oh and that day when i was giving DA a hair cut M wanted one also. So we did it!!! we did a 2 spacer all over. It took me a day or two to get used to but i really like it.

E is rolling over both ways. She is just getting so big so fast. She only gets to wear an outfit once and then she grows out of it. She is such a delight to be around and is always happy. It is very cute when she gets entertained by M and starts laughing. The best is that he doesn't even know what he is doing.

Here is our 2009 photo with Santa. It was a great party all except for the actual sitting on Santa. M is all about getting candy canes, but nothing about the big red man. M loves singing jingle bells. I thought this year would be the year he likes Santa, but i guess not. We will have to wait until next year to see what that brings. E didn't do so well with Santa either. i think it was just to noisy for her.

Time has flown by. People used to tell me how time flies when you have a kid. Well, it didn't with Max. It seemed to go so SLOW..... Now they are right. She was 1 month last Sunday. I have a ton more pictures i want to share, but i will just have to find time later.
One day when i was blog surfing. (You know you do it too) looking at friends of friends blog some that i knew from HS and so just acquaintances . I saw this idea to post each month with a sign of the age. How cute!
She is more alert. Smiles. Coos (only a few times) follows people around the room especially her big bro and cries from about 6-8pm every night. Life is a balancing act right now, but is going well.

Here she is Elise Catherine. born September 11 at 4:39pm. Weighing 7lbs11oz and 19 3/4 in long.
Here is a quick summary on how it all went down.

2:40am- Water broke while sleeping
3:30am- contractions started about 6 minutes apart
4:00am-6:30 Cleaned the kitchen, swept, dishes, clean table. contractions still 6minuts.
6:40am-7:20 went on a walk. Contractions 5 minutes.
7:30 Max is up and eating. Contractions 8 minutes apart.
9:00am-10am Family went for a long walk together to try to get the contractions to get stronger and quicker.
11am called hospital to say Whats up? They told me to come in since my water already broke.
12:30pm get to the hospital. not in real labor. NOTHING
3:30 started pitocin
4:00 forget all natural, give me drugs. got an iv drug that made me so dizzy i had to keep my eyes closed, but it did make me relax a little and take the edge off. (dilated 4-5 cm) No epidural- which was my goal.
4:35pm Started pushing and screaming!
4:39 pm Elise Catherine arrived looking a little blue from a 3 foot umbilical cord around her hand and neck. The nurses and midwife were all amazed how long it was.

Full Term (37weeks)

Here is a picture taken today. I am 37 weeks which is considered full term. I am hoping to be preggo for 2 1/2 more weeks (09/09/09). Last week i had a doctor apt and everything went really well. I am not dilated at all. I was never with Max so i didn't think anything of it. My next apt is at 38 weeks. I am getting really excited for labor and birth. I have been reading a book called Hypno Birthing The Mongan Method. I would like to know if anyone has any input or has even heard of it. I am kinda digging the whole method. Let me know!

Wondering what the title means?!?!? Those are names of our 6 new chickens. We got 6 chickens that should all be hens. They were born July 2. You can see they are starting to grow in their hen feathers. They are Road Island Red breed and in about 4 months they should be producing large, light to dark brown eggs.

They like Max the best. They run away pretty fast from DA and I

We are still training them to go into their coop at night time. Two guys in our ward who were looking for something to do built the coop for us.

My 2 favorite's birthdays

Yesterday was Danny's Birthday and today is Max's Big day. Pretty much this whole weekend has been birthday celebrations. Since my parents are at girls camp this week we had a little celebration last Friday. We had some friends over for pizza, cup cakes and ice cream. Max had 2 friends over and they took a dip in the play pool and jumped on the tramp. Our home is being taken over by toys. This is the first time we bought Max a toy. We got him a Tball set and he LOVES it. i'll post pictures later.
Yesterday Danny and i made cinnamon rolls and he took them to work. Max and i meet him and co-workers for lunch. I sent DA back to work with more cup cakes to share. We went to sushi for dinner. Today i think Max and i will go to a free kids movie.

Baby update- We have decided to name her Elise Catherine. We both really like Elise and Catherine is my middle name. (DA is a big Cure fan and if you know the Cure you will know the song a Letter to Elise) I had an ultrasound 2 weeks ago to check the growth. She is growing 56% meaning a week bigger than schedule. My stomach is measuring right one for where is should be. She currently weighs little over 3 lbs. I am feeling pretty good. I have a little more aches and pains but nothing to hold me back from family bike rides. I am looking forward to meet this little girl, but it is coming way too fast. I am really enjoying my time with Max. I know it won't be just me and him and i am trying to take advantage of every second and enjoy every moment. The time is just going by too fast.

Yosemite trip

Here are some pictures of our Yosemite trip. Danny left Wednesday and biked 100 miles. Thursday he biked around 50 miles and that is when Max and i joined the group for a little camping in 30 degree weather. The last day DA biked 20 into Yosemite! He had a great time and would do it again. We ended up coming home Friday night because i was getting a little altitude sickness :( Yosemite is a beautiful place and i don't know why i waited so long to visit when i only live 3 hours away.

Yes, i am Preggo!!! I thought it would be fun to see how long i could go without telling people, but it has been slipping. I am 17 weeks along and we'll find out in 2 1/2 weeks (April 24) what the baby is.

Max the gymnast

Here is Max learning to do somersaults! A couple of days ago on the trampoline, we told max to try one, and on his first try he did one perfectly! Then he couldn't figure out how to do another one for a couple of days. Then yesterday on a tumbling mat he decided to do a bunch. Look at him go! The first video is of him trying to figure it out, and the second is him actually doing it. He gives you a nice set of mean eyes afterwards ;).

Out with the old, in with the new

We got a new car. We were not expecting to get one, however we were down 1 vehicle and had to get another that could handle the snow.
So here is the story....

Danny and our friend bob went boarding with a bunch of people from our church. Bob, being a nice friend, volunteered to drive home since Danny only got 1 hour of sleep the night before. As they were turning a blind snowy corner a truck happened to be stopped in the middle of the road. It turned out the truck had stopped to help another car who slid off the side of the road. Bob said he was going about 20-25 mph. When all was said and done, we got a nice check from the insurance company and now driving around a Pilot.
No one got hurt!!

Back in January we took a weekend trip to the beach house and had a great time. The weekend was football playoffs to decide who would play in the super bowl. Max loved this football. I don't think he would had let it go.

Shamrock Shake!!

The Shamrock Shake is a seasonal dessert sold at McDonald's during March, to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Essentially, the Shamrock Shake is a standard vanilla shake, flavored with mint extract and dyed green.

Growing up the only McDonald's that had this shake was in the city of Dublin (right next to my city). We would make a special trip just to get these delicious shakes. What a fun memory from my childhood. Everyone- go get your shamrock shake!! Some McDonald's might not have them until March, but Livermore has them and i had one last night. YUM!!

Probably my favorite product i wear in the winter and summer. I always wear my sunscreen, even if i don't put anything else on my face. Some might call me obsessive or just plain smart. I always remind my friends and husband to wear it. I used to say white is beautiful, but now that just sounds politically incorrect. You know what i mean. So don't forget, WEAR YOUR SUNSCREEN!! UVA/UVB and anything over 15 is fine, but if your in the sun more than 2 hours you would probably need to reapply.

I love my sonicare toothbrush. I have been using one since i was in HS. This is my latest. I was purchased at Costco and currently on sale right now (coupon). It leaves your teeth feeling so fresh and so clean clean. I recommend it to anyone.

Flowers are wonderful they can brighten a room and put smiles on faces. Orchids happen to be my favorite. Right now i am tending to 4 different orchids. The oldest i have i got from Danny on my birthday 3 years ago. It is dark purple and is about to bloom again for the fifth time. Orichids are the flowers that keeps on giving.

Utah State University is one of my favorites. I loved living there from 2000- 2004 . I love the food, Firehouse pizza with their Pizzookie. Charlie's ice cream. so much good food. My favorite thing besides my educations is the great friends i made while i was there. It's fun to keep in touch and to see how we all have grown. I wouldn't trade it for anything! Aggies all the way.
p.s. The bball team is ranked #22. Pretty good.

My friend Kelli does 14 February favorites for the first 14 days of the month. I thought i would give it a shot this year. Number one should have been yesterday and since i was way to busy having a party i didn't get to do one. So i thought i would make my first favorite the super bowl. It's not because the super bowl ends football season, but because it is such a fun day. A day filled with lots of friends and of course Food food food!! I am sad that the season is over. Watching football is such a family bonding time.

My # 2 favorite is Trader Joe's. I absolute love this little grocery store. I go at least once a week. My favorite things to get there are apples, bananas, yogurt, cottage cheese, and pretzels. They always have a taste sampler going on with of new or old products. They send me a flier each month. They give Max a balloon every time. It would be hard to live without.

April- Flew to Utah for my nephew, Hemi's baptism. Got a trampoline.

May- Flew to Texas for Danny's sister, Hanna's graduation. Max said first words, “da' and “dog”

June- Livermore Rodeo. Drove to San Diego to meet our newest niece, Liliana Travers. Water ski trip to New Hogan. Max learned to crawl.

July- Northstar, ca for a Stone family reunion. Roller skated, day cruise, and hiked. Max turned 1 and Danny also had a birthday.

August- Flew to San Diego for Liliana's baby blessing and to visit friends. Went to San Diego Zoo, and surfing

September- Maxed learned to walk. Cooked live lobsters in our bathtub. Livermore airport open house.

October- Went indoor skydiving. Halloween- Max was a bumble bee, Lindi was dressed 70's, Danny was Where's Waldo. Pumpkin patch.

November- Flew to Denver to meet our newest nephew Zachary Ison and to ski and have Thanksgiving dinner with the Aubles.

December- Christmas parties X 5

I was going to delete this photo, but because it is so HUGE i wanted to keep it. This is my first time adding an image from the web and well, it sure added it. I have no clue when this photo was taken because this place ALWAYS has people in it.
We woke up Christmas morning and didn't have eggs. We wanted something special other than cereal and oatmeal. When everything is closed you can always count on the Donut-Wheel. The line was out the door and people were hanging out reading newspapers. Pretty happening place.

St.Nick not so Jolly this year

I thought i would take a moment to remember last year meeting with Santa. Max was super happy and we got some great pictures. We even did outfit changes. Even Santa had a great time. but...........This year Santa just didn't know what to do. I wanted him to hold Max so we could get a picture screaming or not. Well this is what we got. I have never seen so many dirty looks given by Max.

This is what we used for a Christmas card. I haven't had such a hard time then i did this year. I have actually only been sending out Christmas cards for 2 years now. I had two other cards i made, but didn't really like the pictures used. That is why we took some family pictures (below) in desperation to get a cute current family picture. As you can see we didn't use any. Next year i will try to have a picture by Thanksgiving.
The family picture was taken on Lake Tahoe in July, and Max was taken in August.

Merry Christmas to allsorry if you didn't get one. We don't send them to people we see all the time. Merry Christmas.

T-day in Denver

We had a great time in Denver over the Thanksgiving break. All the Aubles were in attendance. We got to meet our newest nephew Zachary and celebrate his brother, Benjamin's fifth birthday (there are 3 girls in between the brothers- you do the math). We had a great feast and the best part was all Max's Aunts and grandma got to babysit and cook T-day dinner while 6 of us went to Copper Mountain to hit the slopes. Thanks again!!

So i haven't posted anything lately because i got board with blogging. Maybe it is just a phase and i'll get over it and post more soon. Anyone else feel that way sometimes? My weekends were pretty busy in November and now things are calming down. We went to 2 ski/board expos, Aptos twice, had a foodball party, went to a graduation party, one of my YW got baptized, Warren Miller, and went to Denver.

We went indoor sky diving at a place called IFly in Union City. It was super fun!! Kids at 3 can go. I know where Max is going to have a birthday party.

Halloween Party!

We went to a Halloween party!! Max is the cutest bee i have ever seen. His costume was made by my sister, Jana's sis-in-law for my nephew 7 years ago. Danny was where's Waldo. He is wearing a beanie my mom made me for my 10th birthday party (i think 10th). It was a Where's Waldo theme!! I'm sure a couple friends remember it. Everyone got to take home the same beanie!! I decided to dress 70's when i found these old pants. I wore the pants to school for homecoming skits my senior year. There was a balloon maker who made me the hat to match.
Max had a great time wearing his costume. We were surprised he kept the gloves on all night. He loved seeing Elmo at the party and kept calling him "dog"

Pumpkin Patch

Our friends Andrew and Kaori came to visit us and the pumpkin patch. Their handsome boy, Cole, is 4 months old. Danny went to BYU with Kaori. We had a great time. Max loved their dog and couldn't get enough of him.
Max loves to drive, so when he saw this tracker he was in love. It was a battle to get him out.

Today i made Max some shoes. Max has a foot/shoe fetish. He likes to bite toes and heals and loves wearing shoes and eating shoes. He was super excited when he saw his new pair. I'm looking forward to make more pairs because it will be easier, faster and better quality!! Go Lindi!!
